Calling All Support Staff & Parents!
Do you want to play a crucial role in the strategic direction of our school? We're looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Local Governing Body (LGB).
We currently have a vacancy for both a Support Staff Governor and a Parent Governor.
Support Staff Governor
Are you a member of our support staff? This is a fantastic opportunity to represent your colleagues and bring your unique professional insights to the leadership table. As a Staff Governor, you'll be an essential link between the governing board and the staff team, ensuring that decisions are well-informed and consider the perspectives of those working directly and indirectly with our students every day.
Parent Governor
As a parent, your perspective is invaluable. We're seeking a Parent Governor to represent the parent body and contribute to the school's long-term vision. This role is about more than just attending meetings; it's about helping to shape policies and ensuring our school continues to provide the best possible education for all of our students. No special skills are required—just a passion for our school community and a willingness to get involved.
What's Involved?
As a Governor, you'll:
- Attend Local Governing Body meetings (four per year, usually held on Thursdays at 4.30pm).
- Work collaboratively with a diverse group of governors
- Help set the school's vision, ethos, and strategic direction.
- Ensure accountability for the school's performance.
This is a voluntary role that offers a rewarding way to contribute to our school's success. It’s a fantastic professional development opportunity that will help you gain a deeper understanding of how the school operates at a strategic level.
Full training and support will be provided to help you develop in your role.
