Welcome to Hathershaw College

Responsible, Respectful, Ready to learn

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to The Hathershaw College, part of the Pinnacle Learning Trust. I am proud of my long association with the College and to lead a school in my home town.

This is a good school with a group of very talented teachers and staff who set high standards and expectations for children. We are inclusive and celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of everyone within the College. We care about our young people, with our first priority always being to make sure they are happy and safe so that they are able to learn. -College Principal

Arrangements for W/B 10th May 2021

To support those celebrating Ramadan and Eid, we have made the decision to close the school to ALL students on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th May to provide an opportunity for our Muslim families to celebrate.  I know how difficult it is to predict exactly when Eid will fall and I understand the variation that exists between different sections of our community, but I hope these days help to support you.  Of course the expectation is that students attend school on the Monday and Tuesday prior to Eid as well as the Friday afterwards.  Given all of the disruption that students have faced this year, attendance has never been more important.
